The Center for AI Safety (CAIS — pronounced 'case') is a research and field-building nonprofit. However, in contrast to the dramatic progress in AI, many basic problems in AI safety have yet to be solved. Their mission is to promote the safe development of artificial intelligence through technical research and advocacy of machine learning safety in the broader research community.
